We came up with a list of Do's and Don'ts for our clients so they can be prepared for their upcoming appointment and have the best possible experience at our shop. Please take a moment to go through these points, as it will assure that your session will be enjoyable for both you and your artist.
DO:
- Bring a valid, government issued photo ID (driver's license, passport, military ID, or non-driver ID card). Birth certificates and school IDs are NOT acceptable forms of identification. You cannot get tattooed without your ID.
- Wear comfortable clothing so that we may easily access the area that is getting tattooed.
- Eat a good meal before your appointment.
- Avoid alcohol the day before and the day of your appointment.
DON'T:
- Take any pain killers prior to your appointment. Pain killers thin your blood which makes tattooing more difficult and affects the healing process.
- Bring more than one friend with you. Our waiting area is small and having too many people around is distracting to the artists.
- Show up more than 15 minutes early for your appointment. If you are running late, please call the shop and let us know.
OTHER THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW:
- You must be at least 18 years old to get tattooed. No exceptions.
- We cannot tattoo you if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Children are not allowed in the shop.
- Please contact your doctor prior to your appointment if you have any health conditions or are on any medications that may interfere with the application or healing of your tattoo.
- Please be mindful of other plans/events you may have scheduled around your appointment. We cannot tattoo over a sunburn and your tattoo must be healed for at least 3 weeks before you can go swimming or be in direct sunlight for long periods of time.
- Please be patient with our artists. When you arrive for your appointment, you may experience a longer wait time if your design is large, complex, and/or changes need to be made. Every appointment is different so your wait time may vary from your last session or from the person sitting next to you waiting for their tattoo. There's a lot of preparation that goes on behind the scenes that you may be unaware of. For this reason, we ask our clients to refrain from placing time constraints on our artists and to make sure they have more than enough time set aside for their session.
- Booking fees/deposits are final and nonrefundable. If you cancel, reschedule, or fail to show up for your appointment, you deposit will be forfeited and you will need to leave another one before you can reschedule.
- Any major changes to your original idea must be communicated to your artist before your appointment. If you fail to do so, your appointment may need to be rescheduled and you will lose your deposit.
- We accept cash, credit, and Venmo as forms of payment. Credit/debit cards will be charged a 6% service fee.
- There is street parking and a metered parking lot behind Trackside Station on S. Kistler Street. Please bring your own change; we do not carry change at the shop.
If you have any questions about your appointment or our policies, please send us an email or call the shop during business
